yllektraCarnival came and then it was gone.
In Greece Carnival is a very fun and entertaining celebration. It is not like Halloween of the Americans,but it shares some common elements.
In reality,there is nothing scary about Carnival like there is in Halloween.Children and people of every age can dress up in costumes and go up in the streets laughing and throwing comfetti (sp?). I hear in Halloween there are supposed to be evil spirits or something around or something. I am glad in Greece we do not believe in something like that,because it would be scary.
Thankfully, i had the chance to dress up this year as opposed to last year. We went to a party where everyone was dressed up and wore masks!Hehe! I was a she-devil and i even wore something in my hair with little thingies throwing fire, though it wasn't exactly like that! It was very funny! Some of my other friends (two sisters Vaggi and Maria) were Angels and instead wore thingies in their hair like butterflies!So cute! and another friend was a crusader! Boy,he was funny!
And i heard about the Oscars! Yay! Rachel Weisz won the Supporting Actress one! Yay! she totally deserved it!!! I am so happy for her and she has her baby coming up in a couple of months so yay for her!
I also found some weird manipulation of her on the net which was quite amusing! It is quite Carnivale-ish so i want t post it! :)
