yllektraI went to watch "300" today. Supposedly it is based on the history of Sparta and what happened at Hotgates and Frank Miller created it forMarvel comics. It is a comic based on the Spartan history.
I went with high expectations and i wasn't disappointed.The photography and the scenery of this film is really extraordinary.
The way it depicts the way of the Spartans is quite accurate,meaning that they did value military education above all and the boys were separated from their mothers in order to be trained in weapons and everything.
They were not afraid to die and actually it was quite honorable to lose their life in battle,sometimes they even pursued it.
Gerard Butler is surprisingly good as King Leonidas. I mean i had seen him in films ,Dracula 2000 was it? And Phantom of the Opera or something and he was quite good there as well, but here he is really something Plus he looks bigger and full of muscle in this one.
No,seriously every single extra has a six-pack,abs,muscles..the whole package!!!They are all like body-builders..they probably are! lol
There are some really impressive lines in it,quite catchy too!And Lena Headey does a good job portraying the Queen of Sparta,who is crossed but she gets her revenge.
The surprise of the movie for me was Michael Fassbender!He portrays Stelios and he is really magnificent!!!
I first saw him in "Hex" where he played the Fallen Angel Azazeal and was very sexy.
Here we get to see him fight,scream,joke,fly in the air and do all sorts of things!!!I didn't know he was in such good a shape but he is. Extremely fit!!!
Ok,really overwhelmed with this movie. It's a really good one if you like comics-made films!!! A must-see!!!
